About Us at Fire and Velvet
A BRIEF HISTORY
Kev (guitar and vocals), Rob (guitar and vocals) and Gaz (drums and percussion - no vocals ever!) previously played in the AAWB band, from the early 2000's until 2023, when the lead singer retired and the bass player moved on.
The lads wanted to continue and auditioned Debz (vocal and percussion) and Martin (bass, guitar and keyboard) wh

The lads wanted to continue and auditioned Debz (vocal and percussion) and Martin (bass, guitar and keyboard) who both joined in 2023 and also have a great history of playing in multiple bands.
It was no longer appropriate to keep the AAWB name, so we created Fire and Velvet.....
The concept is simple, great covers, the good stuff re-done in a totally recognisable way but with the personality of Fire and Velvet. Smooth rock, an edge here and there, a mellowness when appropriate is why it's Fire and Velvet.
We're still based in South Warwickshire, with all the PA and lighting kit, we promise you a great night's entertainment.
